The Gold Coast Airport underwent a $17 million refurbishment of its former international area to expand domestic capacity following the relocation of international services to a new terminal.

The refurbished departures hall now offers 300 extra seats, charging points, new signage, and a vibrant colour scheme, creating a more comfortable and connected experience for travellers.

Travellers can recharge with a mix of AC sockets and TUF-R USB ports, built into OE’s PIP2 and PIP3 power units—winners of the 2024 Australian Business Eco Award. Most seating areas are now equipped with integrated power, offering passengers the convenience of charging their devices while they wait.
