Gold Coast Airport – Guest Mobile and Laptop Power

The Gold Coast Airport underwent a $17 million refurbishment of its former international area to expand domestic capacity following the relocation of international services to a new terminal.

The refurbished departures hall now offers 300 extra seats, charging points, new signage, and a vibrant colour scheme, creating a more comfortable and connected experience for travellers.

Travellers can recharge with a mix of AC sockets and TUF-R USB ports, built into OE’s PIP2 and PIP3 power units—winners of the 2024 Australian Business Eco Award. Most seating areas are now equipped with integrated power, offering passengers the convenience of charging their devices while they wait.

Future Proof with TUF-R Replaceable

PIP2 and PIP3 fitted with TUF-R USB charging modules maximise long-term value. TUF-R chargers are designed for easy upgrades or replacements by anyone using a simple OE tool—no power shutdowns, electricians, or unit removals needed.

Upgrading or replacing only a user-damaged TUF-R module, rather than the entire unit, extends product life while saving time, reducing costs, and minimising waste.

Reversible TUF-R Type A Port

With the world’s first reversible Type A port, TUF-R guarantees a first-time connection every time. The connector can be inserted either way, enhancing ease of use while reducing wear, damage, and extending the life of the power unit.

TUF is safe and designed for public spaces; no data transfer is possible, as TUF has no external data connections or the ability to store enough code to put malware on a device.
