Orbis Adapt – Cable Free Desking Solution

Orbis Adapt is the world’s first integrated, battery-powered desking solution, born from a collaboration between Zenith Interiors and OE Elsafe.

Orbis Adapt has been developed to deliver true agility in the workspace, enabling spatial flexibility completely untethered from fixed power sources. With fully powered mobile freedom, Orbis Adapt can be positioned to suit the end user’s needs.

Each desk is designed for single occupancy and includes electric height adjustment, power for laptops and mobile devices, privacy screening, mobility, and a folding worktop. The solution is also monitor-compatible with the addition of a DC monitor, adaptor, and adjustable arm. Orbis Adapt can be easily relocated, reconfigured, or stored away as needed.

Orbis Adapt is powered by QIKPAC CARRY part of the 2022 ABA100 award winning ANIMATE series.

What really sets Orbis Adapt apart, however, is the customised wiring loom.

The solution features a highly refined power delivery system, incorporating a range of electronic and component innovations. At its core is a purpose-designed commercial workspace battery that reliably powers the height adjustment mechanism, monitor, and all peripheral devices for a full day or more from a single charge. Orbis Adapt can be fitted with one, two, or three QIKPAC batteries, depending on the occupant’s power consumption needs.

OE Elsafe is a proud member of the B-Cycle Battery Stewardship Program.

OE Elsafe follows an end-of-life policy recommending that all QIKPAC batteries be recycled. To support this, OE has partnered with B-Cycle Australia’s official battery stewardship scheme, which provides a responsible recycling process.

All batteries are processed at Livium, Australia’s onshore battery recycling facility, which recovers up to 95% of valuable materials – cobalt, nickel, lithium, and graphite, from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries. These materials are then returned to manufacturing as raw materials for new battery production, supporting a circular battery economy.
